IBAB has a very small number of non-teaching staff, and each member of the staff is crucial to the running of the institute. They do everything possible to ensure that the institute runs smoothly, and always with a smile.


Mr. P. K. Unnikrishnan has taken over as Registrar and Chief of Administration of IBAB from 1 Dec 2010. He has a Masters Degree in Sociology with Dip. in Human Resource Management & Dip. in Administrative Law. He comes with experience of over 30 years working at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Bangalore, looking after areas like General Administration, Construction and Maintenance, Legal Matters, Security, Guest House, Canteen, Stores, Purchase etc. He was holding the position of Dy. Chief Executive (Admin), at ISI, Bangalore before his retirement in 30 November 2010.


Mr. Abdulla Khan is the IT Manager at IBAB. He holds a Master in Computer Applications from Mysore University and also a diploma in Computer Science. He takes care of all the computer hardware and network maintenance, along with software development support. His past professional experience includes being a residential engineer at MICO & Robert Bosch and Customer Support Engineer for three years prior to IBAB.


Mrs. Mangala Kudali is librarian at IBAB. After obtaining a BCom degree at Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, she has gained experience in multiple areas such as tele-reception and accounts management. She has had a close association with life science organizations, due to her work as laboratory technician in the University of Virginia and accounts assistant in the Centre for Human Genetics. She has also worked in IBAB earlier as a data entry operator.



Mr. Dayanand Prakash Maintenance Engineer, is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment and infrastructure of the IBAB premises. He has specialized in cooling systems and has previously been associated with the Taj Group of Hotels, Bangalore. He is also a certified industrial supervisor from the Karnataka Electricity Board.



V. Girish Rao, In-charge, Housekeeping and Estate, looks after  housekeeping, water supply, estate, dining hall, hostel and guest house. Formerly an entrepreneur, he joined IBAB in June 2009.




Uma J
Ms. Uma J joined IBAB as Administrative Assistant in October 2013.  She was earlier an Assistant Training Officer at NTTF (Bangalore) and prior administrative experience in organizations like Gill Instruments Pvt Ltd for more than five years.  Uma is an MBA in HR with a postgraduate MCom degree.
