The second batch of students joining IBAB’s course in postgraduate bioinformatics consisted of 33 students who came from backgrounds as diverse as medicine, engineering, pharmaceutical, IT and the like. Handling such diverse backgrounds is always a challenge, but is also enjoyable!
Garima Bharti is a chemistry graduate from Mumbai University. She wants to work in the field of oncology and would like to apply the concepts of drug design and modelling to cancer research. Outside IBAB, she likes to read, write and listen to music.
Harinder Narvan is a food technologist from SLIET Institute, Punjab Technical University. After her course at IBAB she would like to pursue a career in the area of genetically modified foods.
