Bharatha Lakshmi Konda holds a postgraduate degree in microbiology from Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. She is interested in pursuing research in the field of Molecular Biology. She joined IBAB to get technical expertise in Biotechniques.
Divya Shekar is a postgraduate in biotechnology from Bangalore University. She did her project on enzymology, ‘Comparative analysis of cellulase production by Trichoderma reesei & Trichoderma viridae, including optimization of the pH & Temperature for the cellulase production’. Her interests lie in Immunology, recombinant DNA technology and molecular biology.
Ezhil Mary Arasi has obtained her B.Tech in Biotechnology from Bharatidasan University, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Cancer Biology and Molecular Biology are her favourite fields of research which persuaded her to do a project entitled ‘Adaptation of Newcastle disease virus to vero and BHK21 cell lines’. She is also interested in fermentation technology.
Jayanthi M has done a Masters’ Degree in Biotechnology from Bharathiar University. She has worked on metal tolerance related stress enzymes of a bacterial isolate as part of her MSc project, at the Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Trombay. She is fascinated with antisense RNA and is interested in a career in research in this field. Forensic science is another field where she hopes to make use of molecular techniques.
Prashansa Sharma is a postgraduate in Biochemistry from the University of Lucknow. Her passion for science (biology) brought her to IBAB. She has immense interest in molecular biology, biotechnology and forensic science. Traveling, reading and listening to music are her favourite hobbies. She also appreciates different kinds of arts and likes to go to museums and exhibitions in her free time.
Raghavendra Prasad S holds a Masters in Agriculture with specialization in genetics and plant breeding from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. During his masters’, his research project was on QTL mapping for salt tolerance in rice. He is interested to take up research on the molecular details of some evolutionary aspects.
Raghu Bhushan has obtained his Masters degree in Botany with specialization in Cytogenetics from Osmania University. He has also done a postgraduate course in Bioinformatics from University of Cologne, Germany. He is interested to pursue research in molecular biology, using bioinformatics as a tool. He has joined IBAB so that he could prepare himself for higher studies.
Sethu C Nair holds a Masters degree in Animal Physiology from Kerala Agricultural University, Kerala. He has worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Physiology, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Trichur, Kerala. His interest in cell and molecular biology prompted him to join IBAB. He hopes the course will provide him with a strong foundation for higher studies in the same area.
Smita Sudheer holds a Masters degree in Agriculture with specialization in Agricultural Microbiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. She has also completed a postgraduate course in Bioinformatics, University of Cologne, Germany. She is interested to do a PhD in Molecular Biology. She joined IBAB as a preparation for higher studies.
L. Tajmeela holds a Masters degree in M.Sc Biotechnology from Bharathiyar University, Tamil Nadu. She joined IBAB to become well versed in molecular techniques. During her graduation she has done a project on ‘Environmental Stress Induce Effects on Pattern on Protein Synthesis in Diferrent Strains of Salmonella’. Her other areas of interest include gene expression, cancer biology, forensic science etc.
