Sample_treatment_protocol_ch1	Liquefied semen samples were fractionated by Percoll on a discontinuous density gradients consisting of four successive layers with the following densities: four layers: 47.5%, 57%, 76% and 95%. The spermatozoa were collected from the interface 57%-76% and the under layer of 95%, then washed three times with PBS. 30 purified spermatozoa of each group were pooled before being used.

Sample_extract_protocol_ch1	Semen was collected by masturbation after 3 days of sexual abstinence and allowed to liquefy for 30–60 min at room temperature. A semen analysis was performed by computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA) system according to WHO (Word Health Organization 1999) guidelines.
