| Sample_treatment_protocol_ch1 | The human prostate carcinoma cell lines DU-145 and PC-3 (obtained from American Tissue Culture Collection) were converted to docetaxel-resistant cells by exposing them to an initial dose of 5 nM docetaxel and culturing surviving cells during 1 yr and 6 mo, respectively, with increasing doses in an intermittent regimen. Docetaxel (Sigma) was dissolved in DMSO (10mM).
