| Sample_treatment_protocol_ch1 | 150g male Wistar rats (Harlan) were injected with 65 mg/kg streptozotocin (STZ) (Diabetic) or citrate buffer (Control). Ventricles were collected and frozen after 3/28/42 days, corresponding to diabetes response with no symptoms, diastolic symptoms, and full diastolic and systolic symptoms of diabetic cardiomyopathy.

| Sample_data_processing | The data were analyzed with Microarray Suite version 5.0 (MAS 5.0) using Affymetrix default analysis settings and global scaling as normalization method. The trimmed mean target intensity of each array was arbitrarily set to 100.
